What Does it Mean to be a Yogi?

Featured Lifestyle, Living Your Yoga

What does it mean to be a yogi? You can find out when you spend four weeks immersed in the Living Yoga Training program and discover a newfound peace. The Living Yoga Training (LYT) program offers a transformative experience for those seeking spiritual growth.

In the peaceful setting and nurturing environment of Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville, and guided by dedicated teachers well-versed in the Integral Yoga teachings and practices of Swami Satchidananda, participants can deepen their practice through a balanced blend of Hatha Yoga, meditation, spiritual studies, and Karma Yoga (selfless service).

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Ashram’s rural setting provides an ideal place to disconnect from the noise of the world and tune in to the subtle frequencies of the heart and spirit. Situated on 750 wooded acres along the James River, Yogaville is a true sanctuary for the spiritual seeker.

LYTS join with community members for three daily silent meditations, providing the regularity and support needed to establish a strong personal meditation practice. In addition, through study of classical texts, such as The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, LYTs gain further understanding of this foundational practice.
