“And the People Stayed Home”

Featured, Stories

Angie A created a film to accompany Kitty O’Meara’s poem “And the People Stayed Home.” In reflecting on the poem Angie noted: “Quarantine and self-isolation hasn’t been easy for many of us. Anxiety is a common feeling I’ve felt throughout all of this, but there was a day last month where I read Kitty O’Meara’s Poem “And The People Stayed Home” and I felt a sense of calm rush over me. Maybe there is something good that can come from this time. Whether it be to slow down, learn a new skill, get in touch with our body’s, get in touch with ourselves or get in touch with the earth. Her poem inspired me to create this film of how I and the people I’ve been quarantined with have learned to slow down a little and appreciate life.”
