Yoga Gives Back 2025
Now in its 18th year, Yoga Gives Back will hold it’s annual gala weekend from November 15-16, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. This is a weekend of inspiration, mindfulness, and celebration to come together and raise funds to support more than 3,000 women and children with Yoga Gives Back programs of empowerment with gratitude in India. The featured events of this year’s Gala weekend, are:
Saturday November, 15, 1-4 PM is the Gala Day Retreat with top LA Teachers/YGB Ambassadors at Shefayoga, Venice: Indian dance, tag-team flow class, meditation and sound bath with Ashley Rideaux, Beate Sholz, Deepa Chemery, Lauren Peterson, Leah Zaccaria, Jeanne Heileman, Jocelyn Salmon, and Mikey Budd.
Sunday November 16, 5-8:30 PM is the18th Anniversary Gala at Sofitel Beverly Hills. That evening, the Partnership Award will be presented to Guru Krupa Foundation that has funded YGB’s SHE Scholarship for Higher Education since 2021.
Three global ambassadors who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and conducted fundraising efforts throughout the year will be honored with Ambassador Awards. They are Deepa Chemery (California), Sally Parks (U.K.), and Markus Hanna (Germany).
This year, YGB will present the Leadership Award to honor leaders of its Yoga community for the life-long dedication to share the wisdom of Yoga with all of us. Three recipients are Lisa Walford (Iyengar Master Teacher), Dr. Christopher Chapple (Doshi Professor and Yoga Studies Director, LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY), and Nischala Joy Devi (International Spiritual Teacher) who will receive this award in person at the Gala. Connecting with a caring community of like-minded people, an inspiring presentation, live auction, appetizers, drinks and a vegetarian Indian dinner are all part of the event.
