Yoga Alliance announced the appointment of David Lipsius as the new President and CEO of Yoga Alliance and Yoga Alliance Foundation. He has been an RYT since 2006 and has practiced Yoga for nearly twenty years. As the CEO of Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, he led the development of a five-year strategic plan resulting in record enrollment for educational programs, developed a 1,000-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), and championed the first Spanish language YTT in the U.S. He previously held leadership and creative positions at NBC Universal.
Soon after taking up this position, Lipsius revealed plans for new directions for the Yoga Alliance. In a video message, Lipsius spoke about the listening tour he recently completed for Yoga Alliance.
