As the Integral Yoga Institute of San Francisco approaches its 51st anniversary on Dolores Street, Swami Ramananda gave the following update on the renovation of their iconic and historic building.

Namaste and greetings of peace. I wanted to share with you that after 2-1/2 years of planning and preparing, and 6 weeks of work on the building, our re-roofing project is finally complete. The scaffolding went up on May 10 and shortly thereafter the roofers began the demolition of the old roof—at one point we could see right through the Temple ceiling beams to the sky.

We added two layers of insulation before the plywood and shingles so the Temple classroom will never get too hot or cold, and will be much quieter. As the roofing work progressed, the painters scraped, sanded and repainted all the window trim. Finally, the solar company secured 23 solar panels on the south side of the roof which should account for all our electric needs going forward. The scaffolding came down on June 28.

We are so grateful to all of our supporters who gave so generously and have positioned the Institute to continue serving for another 50 years. We invite you all to join us as we open up for in-person classes and programs, and continue to serve online as well.

May we all come to know that Divine Presence within, see that Presence in each other, and make the world a more compassionate place.
