The Bhagavad Gita is a foundational Yoga text. Integral Yoga Master Teacher Swami Asokananda, E-RYT 500 will explore “Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita” with participants from May 3 – 5, 2024 during this weekend immersion into this sacred text. The program takes place in person at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville.

Swami Asokananda has spent a lifetime studying the text and is writing a handbook on the Gita for modern times. He distills the essential teachings making them accessible for those who’ve never read the Gita or long-time students of the Gita. His insights are heart-opening and he will share the key lessons he has learned from the Gita about turning the mind from a resister to a full-fledged partner on the spiritual path.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches us that rather than running away from it we can learn to live more skillfully in it. We can use our current challenges to bring out our soul force and live in clarity and peace.

Mahatma Gandhi: “When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon, I turn to the Bhagavad Gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meaning from it every day.”
