Yoga Music/Producer Wynne Paris Suddenly Passes

Featured News, Music & Kirtan

Breaking News: 23 March 2021. Integral Yoga Magazine just learned that Wynne Paris died last night. According to Kimberley Maddox, his life partner, he suffered a fatal heart attack. The Yoga and kirtan community is reeling from this tremendous loss. Paris was a legendary musician/producer in the Yoga music scene. As noted in Wikipedia: Wynne Paris (born June 22, 1964 in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama) is a new-age and world beat musician/producer with a special focus on Yoga music and kirtan, the call-and-response singing of Bhakti Yoga. (For a more in-depth look at some of his career highlights and a personal tribute, please see Haris Harini Lender’s tribute here: Wynne Paris: Love + Light—A Remembrance

Paris played for a “Yoga Ball” celebrating President Barack Obama‘s second inauguration at St. Francis Hall in Northeast Washington, D.C. on January 22, 2013.

Wynne became a very close friend of the Integral Yoga community over the years. He and Kimberely co-founded the Lovelight Festival, during which they spotlighted Swami Satchidananda’s Yoga teachings and contribution to the Yoga world. Integral Yoga participated in the Festival from its inception.

Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville and the entire Integral Yoga global community offer our deepest prayers for the peace of Wynne’s soul and for the comforting of his dear wife, family, friends and the world-wide Yoga community. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
