There are many, many people who chant and lead kirtans (often called kirtanists, kirtaniyas or kirtanwallahs)—too numerous to list. We are listing those who are more regular on the national and international kirtan scene, who have released CDs, and/or have performed at Satchidananda Ashram/Integral Yoga centers. Most of the artists’ music can be purchased through their own websites, iTunes Music store, amazon.com, etc. Many of them have videos on YouTube where you can also see and hear them.

Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville holds a Krishna Das weekend each summer, usually Memorial Day weekend and a “Bliss of Chant” KirtanFest each October (featuring a variety of kirtaniyas).
Each year, David Newman (Durga Das) holds a Kirtan College at Satchidananda Ashram and other places.
This in-depth course is designed to explore the many facets of kirtan and Bhakti Yoga. It is a concise training to deepen your understanding and practice of the rich Indian devotional chant tradition.
Jai Uttal’s Kirtan Camp

Bhakti Fest is a four day music festival celebrating devotion through chanting, Yoga, meditation and community. All of the presenters embody the spirit of Bhakti – deep devotion. The gathering is on 450 acres of inspiring desert land to express love and devotion as one community through an enchanting array of activities. The Center for Spiritual Studies (“CSS”) is the non-profit foundation that organizes BHAKTI FEST. Founded in 1973, CSS was formed to generate a voice for Yoga and chanting in southern California and remains dedicated to raising consciousness, bringing about spiritual awareness, and creating fellowship through this event and practices.
The Annual Rocky Mountain Kirtan Summit began in 2005 and takes place each year in Colorado. It features a full evening of kirtan led by the best of Colorado’s kirtaniyas.
